The CDU Confucius Institute is now offering a new course, Introduction to Chinese Calligraphy, on the CDU Casuarina campus every Thursday from 4:30 pm - 6.00 pm, from 10 October to 28 November 2024.
Join us for a unique 1.5-hour per week Chinese Calligraphy Workshop designed for all skill levels! Every session will take you to explore the rich history of Chinese calligraphy, learn about the writing tools, and practice basic brush strokes. We’ll also introduce you to the art of different calligraphy styles, and you’ll find yourself creating your own artwork after just a few sessions! Whether you’re a beginner or looking to upgrade your skills, this workshop is the right place to go!
Eight sessions will be delivered.
Applicable to people with any Chinese calligraphy level or zero knowledge of the Chinese calligraphy.
Free for CDU staff and students.
