Studying in Australia

Growing up in the heart of Bangladesh, Dhaka, Nishat fell in love with books, arts and learning new things. Her parents shared a passion for working in the field of healthcare, so Nishat was determined to work towards a career in medicine.  

Zahid has always aspired to reach the top level of the banking sector and establish his own consultancy firm in his hometown in Bangladesh. On his path to the top, he never forgot his ultimate career goal: finding a way to study accounting abroad. 

Because of travel restrictions, international student Showkat Ara Khan is studying online in her home country of Bangladesh. While she can't be on campus, she’s still making the most of her time online with CDU. 

International student, Farhana, is a champion at helping people who are in need, whether that’s in the classroom or through invaluable volunteer work.  Throughout her life, her deep passions have always been education and social development. Thanks to her Master of Teaching at CDU, she has been able to blend the two together. 

From a young age, Shehani loved all things machines, systems and aircrafts. This passion would see her enter a traditionally male-dominated industry and bring her to Australia to study a Master of Engineering (Mechanical) at CDU.

Hema is a proud Nepalese graduate who was determined to make a difference in people’s lives. Committed to advocating for and protecting others, Hema knew a career in nursing was the only path for her.

Growing up in the heart of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Hasan always had a passion to teach and be a catalyst for change. With a persistent desire to excel, Hasan jumped at the chance to study in Darwin, Australia. 

Sushan is part of the first generation of his family to receive a formal education and to go to university. His dreams of studying an MBA in Australia were almost lost when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. With CDU, Sushan has been able to study and build a community in Australia without leaving his home in Nepal.

When Chy took on a part-time role in the disability sector, it ignited a desire in her to study in the field and become a social worker. Now in her final year of a Master of Social Work, she’s grateful that she chose CDU.
