Sometimes career inspiration strikes in the unlikeliest of places. After a couple of false starts at uni, it was finding a job as a ski instructor that encouraged Maddy move to the tropics to become a primary school teacher. 

Axel knows first-hand the impact a great teacher can have on your future. He was inspired by many of his own high school teachers to pursue a career in education. Not only is Axel now forging a career as a chemistry teacher in his hometown of Darwin, but he’s also sharing his passion for STEM with the rest of the planet. 

Darwin local Breanna wanted a taste of the big, wide world outside once she left school, but the laidback Territory lifestyle soon called her back home. With a new career plan and a scholarship or two under her belt, postgraduate teaching student Breanna can’t wait to make a positive impact on high school students in her hometown.

Hasan's Master of Teaching degree from CDU paved the way for a successful career as a curriculum coordinator at St. John's Catholic College. His networking skills and work ethic were crucial in landing his dream job, and he feels fortunate to have settled into a supportive community.

Harnika has always had a passion for helping others thrive. As a Maths Teacher in a local Darwin secondary school, her passion is being fulfilled. CDU has given her the best start to her career.

Arriving in Australian from India, Isha is proud to be following her dream. She knows that a career in teaching will bring her joy.  

As a teenager, Hannah wanted to become a teacher. When she failed to get the necessary scores to go to university, she parked that dream. Years later, while working in a school, Hannah’s teaching passion was reborn.

Anh Thu Mai (Sophia) always planned on being a teacher. By studying a Bachelor in Secondary Education at CDU she’s well on the way to achieving her goal. 

When Niki returned home to China four years ago after a year of volunteering at CDU’s Confucius Institute, she knew one day she’d be back. Well and truly won over by Darwin, it wasn’t long until Niki returned to study a Master of Teaching.
