This 3-year Bachelor of Paramedicine degree at CDU is the first choice of preference for those wishing to study paramedicine in the Northern Territory and interstate (External Mode).

This course prepares you for the fast-paced world of paramedicine and leads to registration with the Paramedic Board of Australia (PBA).

Paramedicine educational facilities

You will have access to industry-standard equipment, and the latest educational technologies, delivered by highly qualified and experienced paramedic lecturers. This means you will be well prepared for work-integrated learning (WIL) placements and future employment.

The Bachelor of Paramedicine contains 6 simulated learning units, and 3 work-integrated learning (WIL) units spread across the degree, and students gain hands-on practical experiences through simulated learning as early as week 1. Our high-fidelity manikins and task trainers allow students to practice their clinical assessments skills in a safe simulated learning environment prior to attending real world situations during work-integrated learning (WIL).

Studying interstate
Paramedicine degree

Studying remotely, away from other students can be daunting and feel isolating. If you decide to study paramedicine online, you will attend live lectures with other online students and will be encouraged to form a learning community using study groups. You will also attend 6, 5-day practical workshops throughout the degree which provide you with opportunities for meeting your peer group in person. The CDU paramedicine teaching team are experienced in delivering high quality education online meaning you will get the best online experience possible.

Student support

Students will be supported throughout their educational journey while studying paramedicine at CDU. Students will have access to supportive lectures who encourage student learning and developing natural curiosity. Students will also be able to attend weekly pastoral support sessions designed to connect students to share experiences and learn from each other. This is especially helpful for students who study online. Students will also be allocated peer mentors who are student paramedics from higher years within the degree.
