Faculty of Health Student Nominated Awards
The Faculty of Health celebrates our partner organisations' contribution to excellence in our health student education.
The efforts of many individuals are instrumental in shaping the minds and futures of young health professionals. CDU appreciates and acknowledges the crucial role played by our partners in providing industry-specific insights and professional guidance. Their efforts to inspire, motivate, and support our students are commendable, and they merit recognition for their dedication.
The importance of student nominated awards
For students who have received substantial contributions from clinical educators, professional teams, or lecturers, we encourage them to nominate these individuals or team for a Student Nominated Award. This is an excellent way to demonstrate gratitude for their hard work and commitment while also conveying a meaningful message to educators, professionals, and supervisors that their efforts.
The award categories
The students themselves nominate these awards and acknowledge the contributions of individuals and teams across these study areas:
- Nursing
- Midwifery
- Allied Health (Clinical Audiology, Dietetics, Exercise and Sports Science, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy)
- Medical Sciences (Pharmacy, Paramedicine, Medical Laboratory Sciences)
- Psychology and Social Work.
For the categories of:
- Clinical Supervisor of the Year (partner organisation)
- Innovator of the Year (partner organisation)
- Team of the Year (partner organisation)
- Lecturer of the Year.
What makes for a great nominee?
An ideal candidate for teaching, learning, or student support should possess a genuine passion for their work and a desire to create a positive and enriching experience for their students. They should be engaging and strive to ensure that the learning experience is both fulfilling and enjoyable. They should be invested in their students’ success and provide them the necessary support to achieve their full potential.
Who can be nominated?
Nominees may be individuals or teams who have supported students in the last 12 months. Examples may include their visiting lecturers, administrators, clinical supervisors, and other staff members who have played a role in their educational journey. These individuals could be from a partnership organisation or affiliated with the University. You may use the link multiple times to nominate more than one person. Nominations will close on Monday 18 November, 2024.
