The CDU Confucius Institute is offering Chinese zither (guzheng) workshops on the CDU Casuarina campus every Monday from 4.30 pm - 6 pm, from 14 October to 18 November 2024.
Zither, also known as guzheng in Chinese, is an ancient and elegant instrument from over 2000 years ago. It has been a necessary part of events that display traditional Chinese music.
In this workshop, you can not only appreciate brilliant music and songs played by guzheng but can also have a taste of playing with it yourself. Our teacher Ms. Jin (Holly), can even teach you to play some traditional Chinese songs and maybe even some of your favourite songs as well.
Six sessions will be delivered.
Applicable to people with any proficiency level in playing guzheng.
Free for CDU staff and students.
