Notice of Publication of Rules made by the Council
Pursuant to section 47 of the Charles Darwin University Act 2003 (NT), the Council of the University made the Common Course (Repeal) Rules on 8 December 2022.
Acting under by-law 2 of the Charles Darwin University (Rules) By-laws, the University is hereby publishing the Common Course (Repeal) Rules, which are as follows:

Pursuant to section 47 of the Charles Darwin University Act 2003, the Council of Charles Darwin University has made the following rules, namely:–
1. Citation
These Rules may be cited as the Common Course (Repeal) Rules.
2. Commencement
These Rules shall enter into force on the date they are published by the University in accordance with by-law 2 of the Charles Darwin University (Rules) By-laws.
3. Repeal
The following Rules, hereafter ‘the repealed Rules’, in force immediately prior to the date of commencement of these Rules are repealed on and from the date of commencement of these Rules:
- Common Course Rules - Associate Degree;
- Common Course Rules - Bachelor Degree;
- Common Course Rules - Bachelor Honours Degree;
- Common Course Rules - Diploma;
- Common Course Rules - Doctor of Philosophy;
- Common Course Rules - Graduate Certificate;
- Common Course Rules - Graduate Diploma;
- Common Course Rules - Masters by Coursework;
- Common Course Rules - Masters by Research; and
- Common Course Rules - Undergraduate Certificate
4. Savings
Notwithstanding the repeal of Rules listed in rule 3 above, any suspension, instruction, direction, decision, or other action or proceeding that was taken, initiated, or given under the repealed Rules shall continue to have effect as if those Rules have not been repealed.
