Lessons are charged on a per term basis with a term being eight lessons of 30 minutes. Fees are charged in advance. You will receive payment details prior to the commencement of the term.

Terms and Conditions
- Make-Up Lessons: Lessons missed due to the student’s unavailability cannot be rescheduled. Make-up lessons are offered only in the event of the tutor's absence and will be arranged directly between the student and the tutor.
- Re-Enrolment: Re-enrolment from one term to the next is automatic. If you wish to make changes, please notify the Administration Office.
- Tuition Fees: Tuition fees must be paid in full before lessons commence. Fees are non-refundable, and enrolments will not be processed, nor lessons conducted, until payment is received.
Payments: Payments must be completed before the term begins and can be made in the following ways:
In person: At the CYCM office, Charles Darwin University, Building Orange 6.1.07.
Online: At CYCM Payments.
EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer): Bank transfer details are available upon request.
- Cancellation/Withdrawal: Cancellations or withdrawals must be communicated in writing at least seven (7) days in advance. Cancelled lessons are non-refundable.
- Location: All lessons will be conducted at Charles Darwin University, Casuarina and Palmerston Campus. Online lessons may be arranged upon request.
- Terms and Lessons: The CYCM calendar year is divided into four terms, each consisting of 10 weeks. Students receive 8 lessons per term, scheduled from Monday to Saturday. Students should ensure they can attend all 8 lessons.
- Extra Lessons: Additional lessons can be arranged for an extra fee through the CYCM Administration Office, subject to tutor availability.
Tuition Times:
Individual and Small Group Lessons: Tuition times are negotiated between the tutor and the student (or parent) to ensure mutual suitability.
Ensemble Program: Lesson schedules are published before the term begins.
- Instruments: Students must provide their own instruments, except for pianos. Piano and drums students should have access to a piano or drums set at home for practice.
- Use of Rooms: Practice rooms are available to students during CYCM opening hours. Afternoon bookings are mandatory to ensure room availability.
- Additional Costs: Costs such as books, music accessories, accompanist fees, recordings, and entry fees for competitions or exams (e.g., AMEB) are not included in the CYCM enrolment fee and will be the responsibility of the student.
- General Policies: CYCM reserves the right to alter or amend any tuition arrangements after consulting with students, parents, and tutors. CYCM reserves the right to decline or cancel an enrolment.
