Did you know most research grant applications now require clear, concise non-jargon information about the social or economic value -- or potential value -- of the research you are proposing as part of their selection criteria? The National Interest Test (NIT), as one example, is required for National Competitive Grants Program (NCGP) applications. In these statements, researchers need to explain the benefits of their proposed research projects to the Australian public who fund that research. Find out what some of the newest impact requirements are and learn some tips and tricks when communicating about research impact to strengthen grant applications of all kinds and secure funding.
