Academy of the Arts courses

Be creatively inspired by the unique country and rich culture of the Northern Territory. Study creative and performing arts with CDU’s Academy of the Arts.

Fostering strong local and regional links in the arts community and industry, we build on the University's unique location in northern Australia, the gateway to Southeast Asia.

There is strong industry demand for graduates in the creative arts fields locally and globally. Work is available across the sector:

  • from production and performance roles in feature films and screen media to designers and technical production roles for concerts and festivals
  • from artists and administrators who are needed to create and present artwork in art centres and galleries to performers and producers who are sought to create live entertainment and online content.

In addition, there is high demand for primary and secondary teachers interested in sharing their knowledge of art and music.

Workshops, studio and practice-based learning environments, guest speakers, seminars, events, work-simulated and situated learning, open forums, performances, and student and professional exhibitions are ways we enhance your learning experience and engage with our vibrant arts community.

We also offer flexible options to study at your own pace and level.
