Residential inverter testing for C-FCAS capability

Solar panels

ERI researchers are working with Alice Springs Future Grid project partners to study and facilitate the community's transition towards a sustainable and renewable energy-based community. The study aims to identify and overcome the challenges for enhancing renewable energy penetration in Alice Springs and progress towards achieving 50% of the total energy sourced from renewable energy by 2030.

The Renewable Energy systems Hub for Applied Research and Training (REMHART) has equipment installed that will help in testing individual components, including solar PV and battery inverters, to understand their viability for real-world application. Alice Springs Future Grid will conduct feasibility studies of its components at REMHART, and this will help identify suitable options for the project.
