Joel is founder and director of robotics and technology company Benesha Robotics and is also partner and software engineer at Corrosion Instruments.

A Software Engineer Honours graduate and recipient
of no less than 12 scholarships at CDU, Joel is the creator of a smartwatch to help remote health patients by using sensors to provide real time data to healthcare professionals.

Joel is the winner of the Croc Pitch 2019 and in 2020, he won the NT Young Achievers Award for Innovation.

A Certified Neuro-Linguistics Programming Practitioner, Joel has also presented his research to a worldwide audience as a speaker at the 13th annual conference of the International Sports Engineering Association, held in Tokyo in 2020.
