How do I apply for an apprenticeship or traineeship?

Australian apprenticeships include both trainees and apprentices who are collectively referred to as Australian apprentices.

1. Secure an apprenticeship or traineeship with an employer

The first step in starting an apprenticeship or traineeship is to secure a position with an employer.

2. Your employer contacts Apprenticeships Australia

Your employer will submit the relevant paperwork to Apprenticeships Australia.

3. Apprenticeships Australia contacts CDU

If CDU is your employer’s elected Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Apprenticeships Australia will contact CDU and we will be in touch to complete your enrolment.
