Not only is Axel now forging a career as a chemistry teacher in his hometown of Darwin, but he’s also sharing his passion for STEM with the rest of the planet.

Growing up in the heart of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Hasan always had a passion to teach and be a catalyst for change. With a persistent desire to excel, Hasan jumped at the chance to study in Darwin, Australia.
At the beginning of March, four RIEL PhD students and a Professor journeyed to South Africa to present their research at the 20th Savanna Science Network Meeting (SSNM). Held in the iconic Kruger National Park, the SSNM sees savanna scientists from around the world come together for a week to meet and exchange knowledge.
