Aquaculture is the fastest growing food production sector globally and therefore vital to future food security. Professor Sunil Kadri works in both research and commercial projects supporting the sustainable growth of aquaculture, with a focus on fish behaviour and fish welfare; as well as the development and deployment of technologies to monitor stock and enable on farm data collection for both production and research purposes. His projects each address both fundamental and applied research questions and include both laboratory and fieldwork.
