Kamala is the senior researcher and senior lecturer committed to public health and tropical medicine and has more than 10 years of field experience in Africa and Asia, coordinating clinical trials to inform treatment of the management of infectious diseases.
Her current research at Menzies focuses on optimising the treatment of P. vivax and developing public health strategies for malaria elimination. Her research program spans clinical trials and epidemiological studies and incorporates related aspects of health economics and social science.
She has published in leading international journals such as PLOS Med and the Lancet.
