My research focuses on educational psychology, with a particular emphasis on students' wellbeing, workplace diversity, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) educational aspirations, education policy, online learning, digital engagement, and the use of AI in enhancing student learning. I explore how psychological principles can be applied to enhance educational outcomes, particularly for students from diverse cultural backgrounds. My work examines the relationship between psychological wellbeing, academic success, and the policies that can support students in achieving their full potential. In addition, I investigate how workplace diversity influences both educational and professional outcomes, and how educational systems can foster the aspirations of CALD students.
As digital engagement continues to grow in education, I am also researching the role of online learning and AI in enhancing student learning experiences. I explore how technology can be leveraged to support student engagement, personalize learning, and improve learning outcomes. My research aims to identify effective strategies for integrating digital tools and AI into educational practices.
I have published extensively on these topics, contributing to the conversation on educational equity, diversity, well-being, and the evolving role of technology in education. My research has been recognised with several accolades, including awards for innovative educational practices and contributions to policy development.
I am actively seeking research students interested in educational psychology, diversity, policy development, and the integration of digital technologies in learning. Research students will have the opportunity to engage with impactful projects that aim to improve educational experiences and outcomes for diverse student populations, contributing to both academic theory and practical policy solutions.
