Postgraduate research

Take your studies further with a research degree.

Our research degrees explore a variety of areas related to engineering, information technology and the environment. Thesis projects can be closely linked to industry.

Engineering

As a research student in Engineering, you're required to complete two 12-month projects in your final year of study; an individual research-based thesis and a group-based integrated design project.

During this time you will have access to a range of high-level design software including CREO Parametric, ANSYS, SAP2000 and 3D Printers.

Supervisors

The right supervisor can help you develop your project outline and then provide the support needed to help you successfully complete your degree.

The CDU Research Web Portal can help identify research-active CDU staff who are registered to supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR) projects. Use the search function to search by area of expertise or click on 'profiles' to browse by name.
