Why study a postgraduate degree in accounting?
Whether you’re after a career change or you want accounting skills to complement your other qualifications, there’s a postgraduate accounting course at CDU for you.
If you don’t have an accounting background and want to test the waters, the Graduate Certificate of Accounting Studies will give you a good understanding of accounting processes and principles that you can build on. Should you wish to continue your learning, the Master of Professional Accounting develops the skills you need to become a skilled accountant in today’s ever-changing financial landscape.
Choose CDU’s Master of Professional Accounting (Professional Practice) to gain invaluable work experience. This postgraduate accounting course includes a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) component, meaning graduates start their career ahead of the game with around 300 hours of professional experience as well as their MPA qualification.
You can also take part in professional development opportunities like the CDU Free Tax Clinic initiative. In partnership with the ATO and registered tax practitioners, undergraduate and postgraduate accounting students can help eligible clients with their tax affairs while gaining real work experience.
