Why Hydrogen?
Hydrogen offers significant potential as a clean-burning fuel to facilitate the decarbonisation of our energy networks and heavy industries, as well as improve energy security for many remote operations. This introductory course will outline the supply chain of hydrogen technology, production methods, applications, current market trends and economic drivers.
The course is designed for all professionals working in the energy industry or those interested in industrial decarbonisation. The session also offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with experienced experts to explore how hydrogen could support your business.
Topic Highlights
- Market trends, including renewable electricity cost drivers.
- Basics of hydrogen safety and chemistry.
- Hydrogen production, storage, and application technology.
- Economics of hydrogen as an energy product or chemical feedstock.
- Case studies of developing and operational projects in Australia and around the world.
- Skill gaps in the labour market and key pointers for future business planning.
