Visitors can discover a wealth of study pathways at Charles Darwin University during this year’s Skills, Employment and Careers Expo in Darwin tomorrow.

A recreational boat and safety craft promoting courses for jobs in the maritime industry will be among the hands-on demonstrations and advanced training technologies showcased at the CDU stall.

Visitors can test their skills in virtual reality welding with welding simulators and observe world leading NIDA electronic training systems on display at the stall.

CDU experts also will help visitors design their own dream homes by teaching them basic learning in computer-aided design programs.
Lecturers from both Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses will be available to provide information about the wide range of flexible study pathways offered at CDU.

Events manager Marissa Briston said CDU would have a big presence at this year’s expo and encouraged visitors to stop by the stall and try out a new trade on the day.

“The public will have a great opportunity to explore the many career options available to them and to find out how they can attain their dream job or change careers,” Ms Briston said.

CDU offers more than 350 VET and Higher Education in-classroom and online courses.

The 2015 Skills, Employment and Careers Expo will be held at the Darwin Convention Centre on August 11 and 12. For more information visit W:  dob.nt.gov.au/EventsAwards/careers-expo/Pages/default.aspx
