Spotlight on CDU trades at careers expo

A wealth of advanced training technologies will be showcased by Charles Darwin University for the first time at Darwin’s Skills, Employment and Careers Expo.

Visitors are invited to try their hands at a variety of different trades and tools, such as virtual reality welding simulators and world leading NIDA electronic training systems.

Higher Education staff will join Vocational Education and Training (VET) staff in providing information about the wide range of flexible study pathways offered at CDU.

CDU experts will also help visitors design their own dream homes by teaching them basic learning in computer-aided design programs.

A recreational boat and safety craft will be on display, encouraging visitors to learn about entry level and advanced courses for jobs in the maritime industry.

Visitors can also view Mobile Adult Learning Units, which are used as both educational resources and accommodation for trainers who are servicing remote Indigenous communities.

CDU offers more than 350 VET and Higher Education in-classroom and online courses across its eight campuses in the Northern Territory and two interstate.
