Education courses gain national recognition
Two courses at Charles Darwin University’s School of Education have received national accreditations in recognition of their exceptional qualities.
Independent statutory authority, Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), recently accredited the Bachelor of Education Early Childhood and Bachelor of Education Graduate Entry courses at CDU.
Senior Lecturer (Education) and project coordinator Dr Greg Smith praised the efforts of CDU’s early childhood lecturers and course and professional placement coordinators for the ACECQA accreditation.
“This accreditation has only been achieved through the professionalism and dedication of our staff in their collaborative effort to deliver quality outcomes for our students,” Dr Smith said.
“Being accredited is an acknowledgement that our courses will qualify graduating students for employment in early childhood sectors across Australia.”
Dr Smith said the courses aimed to develop highly skilled professionals, capable of shaping children’s futures and laying the foundations for child development and learning.
