CDU praises NT Police action following incident
The Vice-Chancellor of Charles Darwin University, Professor Simon Maddocks, has commended NT Police for their swift action in attending an incident on Casuarina campus this morning.
Professor Maddocks said a man was in police custody following an incident at 8.30am during which a man allegedly threw an accelerant at a woman.
No-one was hurt in the incident, although one person was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital for observation and has since been released.
Police made an arrest at Dripstone Cliffs around 10am.
“On behalf of CDU staff and students, I would like to extend our thanks for the fast and professional response by the NT Police,” Professor Maddocks said.
