Visual arts industry experts will give insightful talks during a series of weekly public forums at Charles Darwin University.

Speakers at the weekly Art Forum 2015 at Casuarina campus will include visual artists, photographers, art writers, exhibition curators and managers of not-for-profit art organisations.

Printmaking lecturer Mats Undén said the forums would touch on a wide range of topics about visual art, including technical, conceptual, business and ethical sides of the industry.

“If you have any interest in the arts, you might like to come along and listen,” Mr Undén said.

“You will be sure to learn something and have a good time listening to people share their experiences and advice about visual arts.”

Upcoming speakers include NT photojournalist Glenn Campbell, Northern Centre for Contemporary Art Director Maurice O’Riordan, Darwin Visual Arts Association Manager Kieren Sanderson and Darwin and interstate artists.

The weekly forums will be held on Thursdays from 12pm to 1pm in Blue Building 2A at CDU Casuarina campus. Upcoming dates include 16 April, 30 April, 7 May, 14 May and 21 May.
