Award highlights international success
Charles Darwin University has been acknowledged for its outstanding international success by winning the Training and Education Exporter of the Year title at the 2016 Chief Minister's NT Export and Industry Awards.
The NT Export and Industry Awards recognise outstanding achievements of NT exporters and industry leaders, and promote the importance of international trade.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Sue Carthew said CDU was the leading education services exporter in the Northern Territory with growing international student numbers and success in research and teaching collaborations via a range of international partnerships and networks.
“One of the pillars of our new strategic plan, Connect. Discover. Grow, is the internationalisation of CDU and this award reflects the success of the work we are undertaking in this area,” she said.
“We have more than 2000 international students from 50 nationalities enrolled in PhD, Masters, Bachelor programs and in VET courses.”
Northern Territory winners progress as national finalists in the Australia Export Awards to be held later in the year.
Master of Professional Accounting Faatih Natasha Putri also won the StudyNT International Business Student of the Year Award and Bachelor of Education Secondary Teaching student Enggar Daranindra won StudyNT International Student of the Year.
