Among the campus parklands are two ornamental gardens designed to create tranquil spaces for staff, students and the public to enjoy. Looking for somewhere picturesque to host your event away from the crowds? Both gardens are available to the public for functions through the University.
Chinese Garden
The Chinese Garden is a CDU Foundation project that provides an educational and recreational resource for the community.
CDU’s Chinese Garden is a symbol of the University’s interaction with the broader community and an educational, ornamental and recreational resource for the wider community to enjoy.

Indonesian Garden
The Indonesian Garden was designed to celebrate and continue to forge a collaborative friendship between CDU and the Indonesian community in the Northern Territory and Indonesia.
The garden is a tranquil space which is ideal for relaxation and contemplation. The Indonesian-inspired wooden hut is an ideal meeting place or stage for small performances, talks, private events or gatherings. The garden is connected to a shaded area, attached to the University, so you can enjoy both outdoor manicured lawns and covered seated spaces.
