Donor Refund Policy

Charles Darwin University (CDU) is committed to fostering the support of external donors for funding to advance the mission of Charles Darwin University.

CDU operates and promotes a high standard of accountability. Any request for a refund of contributions already donated to CDU by a sponsor/donor will be considered and determined on a case-by-case basis.

CDU Donation Refund Policy

When a request for a refund is received, an assessment of the reason given for the refund request is undertaken. The following reasons will usually be considered favourably:

  • CDU has made an error
  • The donation amount was entered incorrectly
  • Donor banking details are fraudulently obtained and used

The financial circumstances or change of mind of the Donor will not usually be grounds for a refund to be given.

If it is agreed that a refund is to be made, the Donor will be issued the refund to the same account or card the donation was made.
