Overview
If you wish to pursue a career as a psychologist, this course offers you a foundation in psychology by allowing you to undertake an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited degree online, on campus, or via a combination of both. It provides you with an integrated understanding of human behaviour which includes the fundamental premise of psychology as an empirically based science.
Successfully completing the course and maintaining a minimum GPA of 5.5 or better (and a credit or better in PSY247/PSY248 and PSY347/PSY337) will prepare you to undertake further study by applying to enrol into an Honours degree. Please note that the Honours degree is subject to a quota, and a student's ability to enrol in the Honours degree is not guaranteed.

Fees
Commonwealth supported places
Commonwealth Supported places are available in this course to students who meet one of the following residency requirements:
(a) be an Australian citizen, who will complete some of your course of study while resident in Australia; or
(b) a New Zealand citizen; or an Australian permanent visa holder; or an eligible former permanent humanitarian visa holder; who studies the entire course while living in Australia.

International tuition fees
The annual tuition fee for full time study in 2024 is AUD $30,192.00. This equates to $ $3,774.00 per 10 credit point unit (0.125 EFTSL).
These fees are subject to increases annually, effective at the start of each calendar year.

What will I study?
You will be provided with knowledge from core areas of psychology such as human development, social-cultural perspectives, and research methods, whilst having the opportunity to explore areas of interest from a selection of units specifically designed for this course.

Entry requirements
Admission criteria
Successful completion of:
- a recognised bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification; and
- Successful completion of first year CDU psychology units PSY140/PSY150 Introduction to Psychology A and PSY141/PSY151 Introduction to Psychology B; or equivalent units undertaken at another institution as part of an APAC accredited degree.
- Applicants who have undertaken equivalent units other than CDU must attach their unit outlines to their application for assessment.
Please note: The above entry requirements are for 2024 admissions only. From Semester 1, 2025 applicants will be required to complete PSY101 Introduction to Research Skills (or equivalent unit from another University), in addition to PSY150 and PSY151.

The minimum English language requirement for this course is met by either undertaking previous education from an English-speaking country or undertaking one of the following English language tests and obtaining the minimum requirements listed below.
