Do you have a research project idea, have just started a research project or are in the middle of one? Do you understand what research impact is, how to 'do' it and the importance of research impact to your career?
Creating research impact isn't something to just think about after a project is complete or years afterwards. It is actually something you can plan for, saving you valuable time and resources and helping you track impacts along the way so you can share stories, promote your work, and build connections and your career. In this workshop you will walk away with the start of a Research Project Plan Canvas that helps you:
-
Consider and plan for future potential impacts. Why do the research? What difference will it make? What impact might be expected, how can you track and evidence that?
-
Plan for whom to engage with. Who are the stakeholders and which end-users can you co-design with to maximise the potential of impact?
-
Plan for how to communicate and share stories of impact that help engage stakeholders, funders, and the media.
A copy of CDU’s Project Planning Canvas, examples of what impact can look like in your Field of Research (FoR) and where to go for further resources and guidance will also be provided.
