Overview
This short course provides an introduction to AI/machine learning, basic AI algorithms and their application:
Gain insight into mainstream AI models such as:
- Image recognition including classification and segmentation models
- Generative AI for image generation
- Large Language Models
Develop an understanding of machine learning, including:
- Project workflows and dataset set-up
- Training and evaluation of machine learning models
- Building your own AI project
Gain an understanding of the societal implications of AI developments.
Term 3, 2024:
- This course will be delivered between 8th July 2024 and 1st September 2024 - two hours per week for eight weeks.
- Applications will close on 7th July 2024

Admission criteria
Applicants must be 18 years old by the Census Date of the relevant admission period and have basic computer skills.
