Our Master of Nutrition degree qualifies you to work as a nutritionist and pursue a diverse career in health, focusing on how food and nutrition impacts the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, communities and populations.

Roles may include nutrition consulting, nutrition educator, health promotion officer, public health and policy advisors, food and nutrition programing.
Professional recognition
As a Master of Nutrition graduate you will be eligible to register with the Nutrition Society of Australia as a Registered Nutritionist. You may also apply for membership with the Australian Health Promotion Association and the Public Health Association of Australia.

International tuition fees
The annual tuition fee for full time study in 2024 is AUD $31,584.00. This equates to $ $3,948.00 per 10 credit point unit (0.125 EFTSL).
These fees are subject to increases annually, effective at the start of each calendar year.

What will I study?
This course is delivered in both internal and external modes and incorporates 100 days of work-integrated learning during the final 3 semesters, which are supported by CDU academics There are unique project opportunities in the Northern Territory's local, rural and remote areas as well as flexible options to complete projects in other locations.

A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 160 credit points as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless indicated.

Entry requirements
Admission criteria
Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification with at least a credit average (GPA of 5.00).
Essential requirements
Prior to commencing work integrated learning, all students are required to undergo a 'working with vulnerable people' check, and Australian Federal Police Record Check. Depending on the requirement of health and education departments, some organisations may also request students to meet immunisation requirements.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the correct documentation is obtained prior to commencing work-integrated learning projects.
English language requirements
To gain entry into Charles Darwin University, all Higher Education applicants must satisfy the University's English Language Proficiency requirements for their chosen course of study. From 2025 ALL applicants will be required to supply evidence of this at the time of application. The minimum English language requirement for this course is met by undertaking one of the following English language tests and obtaining the minimum requirements listed below.
