Dr Jenny Ng is a research active academic who has taught both Australian Law and English Law in several countries. She has also been admitted as a lawyer at the Supreme Court of New South Wales. She has won several prizes for her research, which includes an external grant. She has also published an international monograph with Routledge (UK).
This research has contributed to the national domain name policy in Australia. She is an expert in IP Law, IT Law and eCommerce, with a specific interest in the intersection with human rights issues. She was also formerly the Chair of Teaching and Learning at the Law School. She was also formerly the Executive Board Member of the Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA), a civil society on digital rights. She is currently a Life Member of EFA and a member of the Digital Law Association.
She is a multi-disciplinary researcher and her research focus is on the intersection between IT Law and Human Rights; and IT/ IP law & eCommerce. Jenny's research interests include: IT Law, IP Law, Cybersecurity and Cybercrime, Ethics in Data Analytics (AI and XAI), Discrimination, Privacy Law, Consumer Law
