More jobs for CDU graduates, with bright future at KPMG

University graduates at Charles Darwin University (CDU) have dominated the intake for the 2022 KPMG Darwin graduate program for management consultants – taking five out of six places available.

The top students from diverse disciplines were successful in joining the prestigious national program, which aims to provide pathways for local graduates to develop their careers at KPMG while helping NT businesses access the best new talent in the Territory.

They enter a two-year structured program that will see them gain exposure to areas such as business transformation, risk consulting, and technology advisory.

The CDU graduates entering the advisory program, some of whom are joining the program having already gained work experience with the KPMG team over the past several months will join advisory, tax and transactions advisory teams.

They join three other CDU graduates who have joined KPMG Darwin’s Audit team in the past 12 months, these include Wendy Wang, Osama Bhatti, and Reynaldo Handoyo.

CDU Vice-Chancellor Scott Bowman said CDU would continue to support KPMG in attracting high achieving young professionals to its ranks through the graduate program.

“This is one of the Territory’s best graduate recruitment programs, attracting the best and brightest to build successful careers right here in the Northern Territory,” Professor Bowman said.

Masters of Business Administration graduate Catherine Dong who moved from Melbourne to Darwin to study at CDU in 2020 said she was thrilled to be joining the program to build her career in the Territory.

“I came to CDU to further my learning and development, but I have fallen in love with this city, its beautiful sunsets and its friendly and welcoming people,” Ms Dong said.  

“In recent years, Darwin has earned its reputation as a goldmine of opportunity. There is no better place other than Top End to build my career at KPMG and gain access to new experiences, challenges and boundless opportunities that can set me up for life.”

Northern Territory KPMG Australia, Managing Partner, Derek Campbell said an additional six to eight graduates would be sought by KPMG to join across various service lines in the Territory in the next month.
