CDU lecturer receives accounting award
A lecturer with almost 27 years’ teaching experience will receive a prestigious accounting honour at an awards presentation tomorrow (Tuesday 19 November).
Charles Darwin University Senior Accounting Lecturer Kevin Clark will be presented with the Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA) Northern Territory Divisional President’s Award for Excellence in the Achievement in Academia category.
Mr Clark said it was an honour to be recognised for his contribution to the teaching of accounting in the NT.
“I derive a great deal of satisfaction from my teaching and mentoring roles, and I am proud to have played a significant role in the team that has developed thousands of accounting professionals in my time at CDU,” Mr Clark said.
“It is very gratifying to be recognised by my peers in the profession.”
The award recognises Mr Clark’s significant, sustained contribution to the education of accountants in the NT.
The Divisional President’s Award for Excellence is a prestigious award which recognises input over and above what might reasonably be expected through a voluntary contribution.
Mr Clark has been teaching accounting at CDU since 1987, and has been a CPA member since 1988. He also runs a private accounting consultancy business.
