Annual history talk event 2023

Truth Telling in the Northern Territory, the Gurindji land rights battle, the artwork of Charlie Flannigan, the 50th anniversary of Tang Soo Tao, the Ballad of Binydjarrpuma, and Mrs Green’s Dance Classes– the program of the 2023 History Talks: The Annual History Colloquium includes all these stories and more.

A book launch about the Overland Telegraph, presentations by ANU and CDU PhD candidates on the ‘Koala Massacre’ of 1927, and the role played by Japanese doctors during the period of the White Australia policy are special highlights. Brought to you by Charles Darwin University in partnership with the Australian National University, the Professional Historians’ Association (NT), and Library & Archives NT, the colloquium showcases research by established and emerging historians.
