Research Bazaar a hit
The Research Bazaar NT (ResbazNT) was a remarkable two-day event that brought together researchers, academics, and students from across the Northern Territory.
With a diverse range of presentations and workshops, notable speakers, and a pitch challenge for postgraduate students, this event celebrated digital innovation and research excellence.
People across the Northern Territory attended the event to learn and share their experiences with digital tools and how to use them in research and daily life.
One of the standout features of ResBazNT was the popularity of the R and Python workshops.
These programming languages are foundational tools for data analysis and research. Along with a sought-after QGIS workshop, the strong attendance at these reflects the growing interest and importance of data-driven approaches in various fields.
A highlight of ResBazNT was the introduction of a 3-minute pitch challenge for postgraduate students.
This challenge provided a platform for students to showcase their digital tools in research, with the catch being that they had only three minutes to make their case. The attendees were impressed by the variety and quality of innovations presented.
Three Sage scholarships were awarded to CDU First Nations HDR students, allowing them to enhance their research projects. These scholarships offer financial support and serve as a recognition of the students' potential and contributions to the research community.
ResBazNT 2023 was a success, offering a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and celebrating digital innovation in research. Thank you to all of the sponsors, presenters and organisers.
