This form enables you to override the final values of course duration, OSHC period and rates of the courses selected in ADMF3910. These values can also be displayed in the Admission Letter.

You can record a reason for the change by adding a comment when derived values are overridden. Note: This comment is different to the comment that can be displayed in the letter.

Course Duration/OSHC Calculations:

The OSHC is derived in accordance to the Visa/Course Duration.

The Course Duration can be altered by changing the Course Start date, End Date or both. Altering the course commencement dates to achieve this is not appropriate.
For this reason institutions are required to specify an Expected Start and Override Course End dates for the courses under the Admission Course Application Instance (ACAI), T-List – International in the 'Direct Admission Course' (ADMF3240) form. The calculations will take these dates into consideration as Start and End dates to calculate the associated OSHC rates.

Extra period of visa allowed as per the DIAC guide viz. 1 October to 31 December:

• If the combined course length is <=10 months, then the visa will be judged as course length plus 1 month.
• If the combined course length is >10 months, then visa will be judged as course length plus 2 months.
• If the combined course length is >10 months and finishing at end of academic year, then visa (usually) granted until March 15 of following year.

Currently Unit Sets can be associated with an ACAI. If a Unit Set with a duration defined is associated to a course then the duration of that Unit Set will be taken as the duration of the course.

Note: The Health Care Provider Period Rates must have been defined (in ADMF03A0) for the Duration calculated for the course (in ADMF3910).

Display details:
Course duration and associated OSHC rates are displayed individually as per selected course option. If multiple courses are selected then the total course duration and associated total OSHC rates for selections will also be displayed.

The dates and values will be automatically derived and displayed as the selections are made. If a date is overridden then the values will be automatically re-derived according to the overridden new values.

Health Care Type durations/rates will be derived and displayed as per selection.

A letter Comment field and a letter parameter to represent the comment field can now be included.

• The OSHC End Date cannot precede the OSHC Start Date.
• If Advanced Standing has been considered in ADMF3910 which impacts the end dates of a course or courses, then you may override the course End Date here.
• The Override End Date cannot be null if an Override Start Date is entered; the Override Start Date cannot be null if an Override End Date is entered.
• Override Dates recorded in this block wlll apply to all OSHC records recorded below.

The Derived Course OSHC Amount is derived using the Duration (in ADMF3910) and applicable Health Care Provider Period Rates (in ADMF03A0).

If a Rate (in ADMF03A0) has not been specified for the Course Details Date Range (ADMF3910) or if there is no Person Health Care Cover Period Rates defined (in ADMF03A0), then the Derived OSHC Amount will display as zero.

The Total Health Care Type is based on the selection of the Health Care Type in ADMF3910.

The Derived OSHC Amount is derived using the Duration (in ADMF3910) and the applicable Health Care Provider Period Rates (in ADMF03A0). If there is no rate for the Duration or there is no Person Health Care Cover period defined, then the Derived OSHC Amount is zero.

Person Health Care Cover Start and End Dates must be defined in ADMF32U0 for all of the date ranges in the Total OSHC block in this form.

Where Dates are overridden, these dates are used to determine a new Duration and applicable OSHC Amount.

Setting the Sponsor Paid indicator or recording Override Dates in the Total OSHC block wlll only apply to the OSHC record selected in this block.

Buttons:

• The Fee Assess button allows the user to create an OSHC fee.
  When the Fee Assess button is clicked, a Fee Calendar Instance LOV displays to allow the user to select the appropriate calendar instance against the Fee Type recorded in ADMF03A0. Only current or future Fee Type Calendar instances associated with the Fee Type are available.
  The fee will be recorded in the Fee Assessment table as a manual fee assessment, so it will be considered but not overwritten by any of the standard fee processes. If a previous fee exists then a FEE EXISTS lamp displays.
• Reset Overrides button - Removes any overrides that have been captured.
• Override Comments button - Used to record details of why the override values have been entered. Click the Details button to return back to the Details focus.
• Letter Comments button - Used to record details that will be included in Admission Letters. Click the Details button to return back to the Details focus.
