To register Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) durations and associated rates.

Use this form to register the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) durations and associated rates.

OSHC duration and rates provide the basis for calculating total amounts for an international student who is required to be covered by OSHC.

The values are registered for a period of time and allow registering a Start date and End date. These values can be defined for different Health Care Types (defined in ADMF0340) for the same periods.
The function also enables copying existing Durations and Rates from one period to another. The new record can then be altered to reflect the requirements of the new OSHC Rates and Durations.

This form is accessed from the 'Maintain Health Care Provider' (ADMF0330) form via the Maintain Rates button, for a selected Health Care Provider.

The Health Care Provider block contains:

• Health Care Provider Code

The Health Care Provider Period block contains:

• Start Date
• End Date
• Health Care Type
• Fee Type

The Rate block contains:

• Duration (Months)
• Amount

Rules/Notes:

The Health Care Provider Period must not overlap with an existing record of the same Health Care Provider (start date is between an existing date range).

Only one ‘open ended’ Health Care Provider Period record can exist for a provider.

• If a Health Care Provider Period already exists without an end date for the same Health Care Provider then an end date must be set before the new open-ended period can be saved.

The End Date must be greater than or equal to the Start Date.

The Duration is defined on a month-by-month basis. Each Duration is equivalent to a period of one month.

Duration values must be added incrementally. The Rate is in dollar values (2 decimal places).

No gap can exist between consecutive durations.

If the Health Care Provider is closed (on ADMF0330), then you cannot update, insert or delete a record.

You cannot update, insert or delete a Rate if the Health Care Type is closed.

• Find the record to be modified.
• Modify the record as required.
• Save.
