This page allows the user to create and maintain Review Categories.

These Review Categories are recorded for Proposal Types in PAAW0200.
When a proposal is submitted, a Review Category should be allocated to it taking into account its Proposal Type, Outcome and total amendment value.
If a Review Category cannot be determined, then the proposal's administrators are notified. i.e. A lamp displays in the proposal record in PAAW1000.
Review Category details are displayed for a Proposal instance in PAAW1150. In that page, the workflow and participants may be changed by users with appropriate security privileges.
A list of Review Categories is displayed on entry to this page. This list can be searched using the initial fields displayed or the Additional Search fields. See Working with Lists for general information about lists.
To create a new Review Category, click on the New button to open the New Review Category page with a blank fields.
Record details for the new record and click the Create button to create it.
If you wish to continue creating new Review Categories, click on the Create & New button.
To edit an existing Review Category record, click on the link formed by the Review Category Code to open a page in which that record can be edited.
Make changes to the record and click on the Save button to commit the changes.
To delete a Review Category select that record and click on the Delete button.

| System Proposal Outcome | The outcome of a proposal instance is derived at the time of submission. The workflow section of this page displays the workflows associated with this Review Category. Only one workflow can be associated with the Review Category at any one time, so if multiple workflows are recorded, their date ranges must not overlap.
This section initially displays a list of the workflows associated with this Review Category. See Working with Lists for general information about lists. The Workflow Steps for the selected Workflow are displayed in a second table below.
Details recorded for these workflows are recorded in GENF4830 and GENF4820 and only the date fields can be modified here.

The steps displayed here are recorded for the workflow in GENF4820. The workflow instances for a particular proposal instance can have their workflow steps updated in PAAW1150.
The From and To values define a range, with higher values indicating greater changes in the proposal. The Amendment Value may be used to determine the appropriate Review Category for a proposal instance. The ranges recorded for Review Categories with the same proposal outcome must not overlap and there should be no gaps between them. Information relating to the derivation of Review Categories during proposal submission can be found in PAAW0200.
Workflow steps are defined in GENF4830. These workflow steps cannot be modified on this page.
A user with the Advanced Security Role of EDIT-WORKFLOW can edit a particular instance of a workflow in GENW4890.
Workflows are defined in GENF4830 and steps are recorded for them in GENF4820.
Those workflows are associated with Review Categories.
When a Proposal is created and a Review Category together with its Workflow steps are allocated to the proposal instance.
When the review of a Proposal fails then actions defined for the Review Category are initiated.
