This
form is an integral part of the process that produces a HECS variations
advice file for submission to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
The entire process is described in VARPAC - Reporting Higher
Education Contribution Scheme Variations. This form is used after the job Create VARPAC Data (FINJ8010) has been run. |
Changes
Run Perform
a query in the Changes Run block to retrieve and view the results of
each run of FINJ8010 (Create VARPAC Data). The most recent run displays
first. This is usually the run of particular interest, as it will be
used to generate the VARPAC output file. The Student HECS Change records
for the Changes Run file are displayed in the bottom block.

Changes File Displays
file details when a HECS Changes File is generated for the context Changes
Run. The VARPAC - Year and Semester are inserted by the system and are
determined from DEST Government Snapshot Control data recorded in STAF1340. Generating
a VARPAC output file Running
FINJ8010 (Create VARPAC Data) identifies and assembles the HECS change
records to be reported through VARPAC. To
generate a changes file of these records for input to VARPAC:

a VARPAC output file On
occasions, primarily when comments against individual student records
are changed, it is necessary to clear a generated output file and regenerate
it.
Recording
the submission of the VARPAC HECS variations advice file Following the generation of the HECS variations advice file (using VARPAC), the date that the file was sent to the ATO must be recorded in the Submitted field. FINJ8010 can only be run when all previous Changes Run records have either a Deletion Date or a Submitted date recorded. |
