Details of encumbrance effects are provided in a separate list.
This form is used by the system administrator or subsystem specialist to:
- record and maintain institution defined encumbrance types.
- associate encumbrance effect types with encumbrance types.
Use it to:
- alter the description of encumbrance types.
- associate an encumbrance category with an encumbrance type.
- close encumbrance types, preventing further use.
- record those encumbrance effects which apply to a student with the encumbrance type.
Encumbrance categories are described in the overview of encumbrance functionality. Their effects are detailed in ENRF6320.
| Rules:
- Encumbrance categories are used to identify the two groupings of encumbrance effects. They also have navigation effects as described under ENRF6320.
- At least one encumbrance effect must be attached to an encumbrance type prior to saving.
- Encumbrance types cannot be deleted. They can be closed preventing further use.
- The effects attached to an encumbrance type are applied to a student when the encumbrance type is recorded against the student. This is covered in detail under ENRF6320.
- Encumbrance levels are described under the overview of encumbrances. Rules relating to levels are explained in the Rules section of ENRF6100.
