CRSW3010 - Contributing Factors

Overview

Use this page to define Contributing Factors and make them available in the mapping of Unit Learning Outcomes and/or Graduate Attributes to Course Learning Outcomes. A Contributing Factor describes how a Unit Learning Outcome or Graduate Attribute contributes to a Course Learning Outcome. The inclusion of Contributing factors for Outcome Frameworks Is optional. They are available to help describe the relationships between learning outcomes in CRSW3000, but are not essential.

A list of Contributing Factors is displayed on entry to this page. This list can be searched using the initial fields displayed or the Additional Search fields available. See Working with Lists for general information about lists.

Field Descriptions

Field: Description:
Contributing Factor The text that describes how the Graduate Attribute or Unit Learning Outcome contributes to the Course Learning Outcome.
There cannot be multiple records with the same Contributing Factor text.

LO_RELATIONSHIP_TYPE. RELATIONSHIP_TYPE
Unit to Course Check box to select if this Contributing Factor is to be available for Unit Learning Outcome to Course Learning Outcome mappings.

LO_RELATIONSHIP_TYPE. APPLY_TO_COURSE_IND
Course to GA Check box to select if this Contributing Factor is to be available for Graduate Attribute to Course Learning Outcome mappings.

LO_RELATIONSHIP_TYPE. APPLY_TO_COURSE_TO_GA_IND
Closed: Select this check box to close this Contributing Factor.
It will then no longer be available for selection in Outcome Frameworks (CRSW3000).

Creating a Contributing Factor

  1. Go to CRSW3010.
  2. Click on Add New.
  3. Add the word(s) which will form the Contributing Factor and select the check boxes to deternmine if they are available for Graduate Attributes and/or Unit Learning Outcomes.
  4. Save the new Contributing Factor.

Updating a Contributing Factor

  1. Go to CRSW3050.
  2. Search for and select the Contributing Factor to be updated.
  3. You cannot make changes to the Contributing Factor text, but the availability of a Contributing Factors to Unit Learning Outcomes and Graduate Atributes can updated and the Contributing Factor can be closed.
  4. Click on the Save button to save the updated Contributing Factor.
If a Contibuting Factor record is closed it cannot be updated, until it is unclosed.

Deleting a Contributing Factor

  1. Go to CRSW3050.
  2. Search for and select the Contributing Factor to be deleted.
  3. Click on Delete.
  4. Save the record
If the Contributing Factor has been included in an Course Outcome Framework record then it cannot be deleted. In that case it should be closed and will not be available for selection in Outcome Frameworks.
