The purpose of this form is to assign one or more prize types to a particular prize. The prize types defined against a prize will control certain functionality and validations throughout the Prizes system. The prize types recorded against a prize are defined in PRZF0020 (Maintain Prize Type).

This form is accessed from the main menu or PRZF0100 (Maintain Prize Details).

 

The Prize Detail block contains:

  • Prize Code
  • Status
  • Prize Name

The Prize Detail Type block contains:

  • Prize Type
  • Description
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Override Description

Rules/Notes:

Use this form to assign one or more prize types to a particular prize detail. The following information is recorded against the context prize detail:

  • Prize Type - The prize type to be recorded against the context prize
  • Description - The description of the prize type
  • Start Date - The start date for the prize type
  • End Date - The end date for the prize type
  • Override Description - A override description can be optionally inserted to record a specific prize type description for a particular prize

The Prize Value navigation button links to PRZF0140 (Maintain Prize Value).

Rules/Notes:

The description recorded for the Prize Detail Type is the description recorded for the Prize Type.

An override description can be inserted to record a specific Prize Type description for a particular prize.

More than one Prize Detail Type record can be in effect at any point in time.

A Prize Detail Type cannot be modified to a Prize Type with a different System Prize Type if the prize is mapped to a Prize Status with a System Prize Status of ACTIVE or INACTIVE.

The Prize Detail Type start date must not be less than the Prize Detail start date.

At least one Prize Detail Type record must have the same start date as the Prize Detail record.

Prize Detail Type records must have continuous date ranges, i.e. there can be no gaps between start and end dates.

If the Prize Detail record is open-ended, at least one Prize Detail Type record must be open-ended.

If the Prize Detail is end dated, there should be at least one Prize Detail Type record that is open-ended, or with an end date that is greater or equal to the end date of the Prize Detail record.

The end date of the Prize Detail Type record may not be set to a date that is less than the start date of the Prize Detail Type record.

A Prize Detail Type record cannot be deleted if the start date has passed.
