Purpose

Define Business Activity Processes and map them to System Business Activity Processes.

General

This form allows the user to define a Business Activity Process (BAP).  i.e. On this form local values are defined and mapped to system Business Activity Processes. These BAPs are then available for use in GENF4910, GENF4920 and PAAW0200.

Note that only BAPS mapped to certain System BAPs are available for selection in each context in GENF4920. i.e.

• Org Unit context - Only BAPs with System BAP Types: OU, TIME-OVRD, USER-OU, UV-APPROVE, UV-PR-CRT, UV-PR-EDIT, WF-EDITOR, GRD-EVAL
• Unit Version context - Only BAPs with System BAP Types: UV-COORD, USER-UV
• Unit Offering context - Only BAPs with System BAP Types: UO-COORD, USER_UO
• Unit Offering Option - Only BAPs with System BAP Types: UOO-COORD, USER-UOO
• Course Version context - Only BAPs with System BAP Types: CRV-COORD, USER-CRV, GRD-EVAL, GRD-NTFCTN
• Course Offering Option context - Only BAPs with System BAP Types: USER-COO,GRD-EVAL, GRD-NTFCTN
• Unit Set context - Only BAPs with System BAP Types: US-COORD, USER-US
• Course Offering Unit Set context - Only BAPs with System BAP Types: COUS-COORD, USER-COUS

Note that only BAPS mapped to a System BAP of USER-PE are available for selection in GENF4910.

This form is accessed directly from the Callista menu.

The Workflow Process Type block contains:

• Business Activity Process Code
• Description
• System Business Activity Process Code
• Closed check box

Rules/Notes:

To create a new Business Activity Process:

• Go to GENF4900.
• Record a local name for the BAP.
• Record a Description for the BAP.
• Select the matching System Business Activity Process Code.
• Save

Rules/Notes:

A closed System Business Activity Process Code cannot be selected.

• Go to GENF4900.
• Query for the record to be modified.
• Modify the record.
• Save.

• Go to GENF4900.
• Query for the record to be deleted.
• Click on the Delete button.

Rules/Notes:

Cannot delete Business Activity Process which has been used in an associated form. It is better to close such a record and make it unavailable for selection.
