On this page you can direct where (in Callista SMS) to source the address of a person to whom a communication is addressed.
A different Address location may be specified for communications with different priorities.
e.g. Priority 1 communication may be addressed to a person's email address recorded in their Person Details (ADMF1213) and Priority 2 communication may be directed to an email address recorded as part of one of that person's Address details recorded in ENRF3030.
Locations in Callista SMS from where address details are sourced:
This page is reached directly via the Callista menu.
Click on the Add button to make the Add System Communication Source pop up appear.
With different combinations of System Communication Source Category and System Communication Type, a different set of Communication Sources is displayed in the table below.
Field: | Description: |
System Communication Source Category | System Communication Source Category may be EMAIL or MOBILE. The System Communication Source Category Allow Priority Indicator must be set to Yes. [S_COMMUNICATION_SRC_CAT.S_COMMUNICATION_SRC_CAT] |
System Communication Type | System Communication Type may be STUDENT,STAFF or AGENT. [S_COMMUNICATION_TYPE.S_COMMUNICATION_TYPE] |
The records displayed in the Communication Source table cannot be re-sorted. They will always appear in descending order of Priority. Selected records can be moved up or down by clicking on the Move Up or Move Down buttons, or dragging and dropping the rows. Different fields will display depending on the System Communication Source.
Field: | Description: |
Priority | Position on Priority list. This field cannot be edited directly - it takes its value from the position in this list. [COMMUNICATION_SRC.PRIORITY] |
System Communication Source | Location in Callista SMS from where address details are sourced. These locations are described in the Overview section above. Duplicate System Communication Source records are not allowed for the same System Communication Source Category, unless the source is PRSN-ADDR. [S_COMMUNICATION_SRC.S_COMMUNICATION_SRC] |
Description | Description of the System Communication Source [S_COMMUNICATION_SRC.DESCRIPTION] |
Address Type | This field is only populated when the System Communication Source is PRSN-ADDR. In this case the address is sourced from the address records for the person in ENRF3030. This is the name of the Address Type in that form in which the address details can be sourced. [ADDR_TYPE.ADDR_TYPE] |
Address Options | Where the address is sourced from PRSN-ADDR (as recorded for the person in ENRF3030). This is the address line for that address type in which the address details can be sourced. [ADDR_TYPE/LINE1_LABEL] [ADDR_TYPE/LINE1_LABEL] etc |
