To record new Exam Sessions:

  • Select the Date Alias instance.
  • Record the Start Time and End Time for the Exam Session (Mandatory).
  • Record the Session Number (Mandatory). This is used as a secondary identifier for an Examination Session within the Exam Timetabling Subsystem. It is recommended that Session Numbers be sequential. Where an Exam Session is added at a later date, the Session Numbers should be renumbered to maintain sequence.

Queries can be performed on existing Exam Sessions.

Rules/Notes:

Session Number must be unique within the Exam Period.

Once saved, Start Time and End Time cannot be modified. However, the session can be deleted if it has not been used.

Once used in the System, an Exam Session cannot be deleted.
