Run Details

Refer to The Government Statistics Process for an overview of the use of this report.

This report is set up as output from the job STAJ0100, in job scheduler.

The report identifies records for which critical data is missing. The records are reported as exceptions, along with the reason for their exclusion from the snapshot. Two types of exception may be reported:

  • student course attempts with their commencement date not set
  • student unit attempts with their enrolled date not set

Callista provides validation checks to ensure that course and unit attempts cannot be recorded with missing data. As a result this report will usually contain no exceptions. Only exceptional circumstances, such as transferring data from legacy systems with validation triggers 'turned off', will permit exceptions to occur.

Output

Exception Report

 

This report will normally contain no exception records. Callista's data entry validations are designed to ensure that data can only be entered correctly. It is recommended that the output destination for this report be set (via STAJ0100, through the Job Scheduler) to an email address, given that it will virtually always contain no exception records.
