Related/Dependent Jobs

This job is dependent on the Create Government Submission Snapshot process (STAJ0110) being performed.

Note: The AOU file created by this job contains Teaching responsibility Organisational Units that appear on the GOVT_STUDENT_LOAD table for a given submission year. Any additional organisational units required in the AOU for the Staff Collection must be manually added to the file.

Run Details

This job is usually run in conjunction with STAJ0040, STAJ0050, STAJ0060, STAJ0070, STAJ0080 and STAJ0090.

The job is run to create an extract file containing the institution's academic organisational units. The file is created in accordance with the DEST file specification, for loading into DESTPAC.

The process extracts from the GOVT_STUDENT_LOAD table, a single record for each of the teaching responsibility organisational units in the table. These records are stored in the institution specific AO file (with which statistics specialists will be familiar), in a directory specified by the 'KEEP' environment variable. This is a secure directory which users cannot (and do not need to) access.

The process 'Copy Extract Files From Secure Area' (STAJ0120) allows the AO file to be copied from the 'KEEP' directory to an accessible directory, specified by the 'USER' environment variable (refer to your system administrator).
