Each statistics extract job must be run before its extract file can be transferred. Refer to the Government Statistics Process.

 

Update Process

The process copies files from a secure directory to a directory accessible by users. The secure directory and the user directory are specified by the 'KEEP' and 'USER' environment variables respectively. (refer to your system administrator)

 

Run Details

This job is run in batch mode only:

  • when access to the output files produced by the extract jobs is required. This is typically for:
    • loading these files into DESTPAC
    • extracting information for 'in-house' statistics

 

Job Parameters

All parameters are mandatory. Job parameters are used to:

    • identify a submission number for which the files are to be copied
    • specify whether Government Statistics or Benefits Control files are to be copied
    • elect to transfer either all files or, by specifying one or more file types, those particular files. Multiple file types are specified by listing the required codes separated by spaces (e.g. AO CO LD) File types are:
      • AO - Academic Organisational Unit file
      • CU - Centrelink Units
      • CN - Centrelink Students
      • CO - Course file
      • DU - HECS Due file
      • LS - HECS Liability Status file
      • PS - Past Course Completions file
      • LD - Student Load file
      • EN - Student Enrolment file
